Li Huaqiang, Doctor and Professor, is currently the Associate Dean of Southwest Jiaotong University School of Public Affairs & Law. Li graduated from Southwest Jiaotong University with a bachelor of law degree in political science and administration in 2004; graduated from Southwest Jiaotong University with a doctorate of management in organization and management of public engineering in 2011; had been sent to the University of Texas at Austin for joint doctoral training by the CSC. Li’s scientific research and teaching pertain to social risks, behavioral science, and emergency management, he has published a number of academic articles on important management journals such asManagement World,Chinese Public Administration,Journal of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management,Management Review, andChinese Journal of Management. He has presided over and acted as main researcher in more than 10 national and provincial-level projects including National Natural Science Fund Project, National Social Science Fund Project, the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project of the Ministry of Education, and the Sichuan Soft Science Project. In addition, Professor Li has extensive government practice and work experience. He has worked in the Disciplinary Committee of Qingbaijiang District of Chengdu Municipality, and in Aba Prefecture of Sichuan Province serving as a Standing Committee Member of the CCP Committee and Deputy Mayor of Lixian County. At the same time, Professor Li also serves as the Executive Director of the Social Stability Risk Assessment Research Center of Southwest Jiaotong University, providing consultation and decision support for the social stability risk assessment of a number of major government administrative decisions and major engineering projects of enterprises.
