On May 26, 2013, the inaugural meeting of Southwest Jiaotong University MPA Alumni Association & the first meeting of School of Public Administration Alumni Association was held in the Multi-Function Hall at Jinghu Hotel. Director of Sichuan Emergency Management Office Yan Weidong, Vice President of Southwest Jiaotong University Lin Anlin, Vice President Professor Pu Yun, dean of School of Public Administration Professor Chen Guang, Party Secretary Liu Bin, vice dean Professor Dai Bin, deputy dean Professor Wang Yongjie, other Teachers, Students and more than 40 alumni attended the meeting.

Vice President of Southwest Jiaotong University Lin Anlin acknowledged with best thanks to alumni for their strong support and active participation and gave his best wishes to the establishment of MPA Alumni Association.

Vice President Professor Pu Yun expounded that alumni had contributed a lot to Southwest Jiaotong University and MPA Education and conveyed his deep acknowledgment to alumni.

Dean of School of Public Administration Professor Chen Guang introduced the achievements and the purpose of the establishment of MPA Alumni Association, as well as the development of School of Public Administration. He expected to have further all-round conjunction with alumni.

At the end of meeting, alumni also expressed their expectation of in-depth exchanges and communication to each other in future.
