According to the Research Topic Guide of Research Center of Western Transportation Strategy and Regional Development in 2013, officially approved by the Key Research Base of Social Science in Sichuan Province-Academic Committee of Research Center of Western Transportation Strategy and Regional Development, and also audited and recorded by competent authorities at higher levels, it is decided that the declaration and reviewing work of scientific research projects for 2013 runs from today. The relevant matters of concern are shown as follows:

Subjects declared for establishment must be oriented for theoretical or application research on “Western Transportation Strategy and Regional Development”, reflecting the high research level of the subjects in the relating field so as to rank top positions by virtue of innovation and pioneering. Research must be based on the West, facing to the whole country so as to keep its strong feasibility.

Both teaching and scientific research staff of colleges and universities and working staff from governmental departments are qualified for declaration. Those who would like to declare key subjects must have senior titles or gain a doctor’s degree, and also have experience in being in charge of accomplishing over the provincial departmental-level scientific research projects. While those who intends to declare general subjects are supposed to own at least junior professional titles (junior titles are included) or a master’s degree.

The person in charge of subjects should make the notification examined smoothly and signed with comments by his or her working unit so as to submit to our center in united time in that only united submission is acceptable. The declaration units should submit the qualified notification (one original, five copies) to Research Center of Western Transportation Strategy and Regional Development before the deadline. Meanwhile, the declarer should email the electronic document of the notification to our center. The acceptable declaration time for this year: from today to April 30th, 2014 (we will take the local postmark as standard), overdue would be invalid.

Subjects should be done within the scheduled period, and the subjects conclusion will take publishing the achievements of subjects on the core journals or above as standard. Academic Committee of Research Center would provide 2000 to 10000 RMB as a financial support according to the thesis quality and journal levels.
